God was in Christ

Here's a quick one since I've had some trouble getting my posts
up. By the way I suggest it's a good idea to note in your books
when you finish them (dates). I've gotten rid of over 2,500 books
over the years for one reason or another- moving, etc. Sometimes
I sadly lament the fact, but that's life. Anyway, one book I
strongly recommend is Donald Bailie's "God Was In Christ". I first
read it almost 50 years ago; and it left an impression on me. As I
recall, in particular, the concept of the historical cross/cruci-
fixion as an "out-cropping" in time of the cross in the heart of
God over sin. Let me share also, again?, that as one lives- if he
thinks at all- his questions and perspectives change; sometimes
profoundly. So that when he rereads- in this case for the third
time- a book, it's like a new book! In short, I just finished it
this morning, again. It was written in 1948, which makes it oddly
enough, "recent"! A wonderful Christian teacher; a wonderful book.
