God took them?

We just saw the evening news: four young boy scouts, tragically,
died from a tornado. A 15 year old scout said, parents should hold
them in their hearts but simply accept the fact that God had a
reason for "taking them." Udo Middelmann, in his "The Innocence
Of God", says this teaching is destructive to the Christian Faith
and only contributes to human suffering. It is meant to comfort-
it does just the opposite!! To blame God for the results of the
fall is to make God guilty in our minds and in the eyes of the
world. It is to say God is the cause of evil; of sin and suffering.
Christians are terribly ignorant on this most serious matter. God
is "innocent"! Do you think it honors God to say it's his will? Or
does it rather make us tend to forget it's a fallen world?
