The Lamb who's a Shepherd!

The Book of the Revelation I truly love. As literature it's marvelous.
I chose not to say "fabulous" (fable) or "incredible" (unbelievable).
Interestingly enough, it's not used liturgically for Sunday lessons in
the Orthodox Church. They, obviously, had fanatics in the early church
then, too, who couldn't get beyond the symbolism. How sad. Think of all
the "prophecy" "teachers" wasting people's precious time trying to find
Iran, Egypt, the antichrist, etc. in the Book of the Revelation and
missing Christ! But consider Rev.7:17, for example, where we read- after
having read of "the throne of God"- the "Lamb who is in the midst of the
throne". The New English Bible says, "the HEART (my emp.) of the throne".
Now, whose throne is it? and who gets to sit in the middle of it? Am I
missing something, or did Arius, the Unitarians, the Jehovah's Witnesses,
skip over this verse? The "Lamb" is in the middle of the "throne of God"!
The Lamb, then, is their "Shepherd" (as in, "the LORD is my shepherd"(Ps.
23) who leads them to "springs of living water". Then "God" wipes away all
their tears. Who is this "Lamb"? I think I know, unless I'm crazy. It is,
of course, Jesus. But, he's in the MIDDLE of GOD'S throne! Who, I repeat,
Who, sits on God's throne. Only God; as in "I am a jealous God". So, see if
I got this right. The slain little lamb, now resurrected, IS GOD??!! So,
it would seem. That would make God good, kind and innocent, wouldn't it-
like a lamb? Please, consider the implications of this with regard to God's
will for all human beings. What a beautiful, comforting book is the Revelation.
